The iRead Review is about discovering small press or indie authors. We want to help you tell the world you wrote a great book! However, we do have a criteria for the books we accept to review. In order to produce an unbiased review, there are certain genres we do not accept.
We accept books:
That are self-published, but must be edited by a professional editor;
From a small press publishing company, also professionally edited;
From most genres in fiction and non-fiction: books for children, middle-grade, young adult and adult;
In e-book formats;
In audiobook formats.
We do not accept books:
Labeled erotica (hard core sex);
Whose main theme is the occult or horror (no witchcraft, zombies, vampires, ghosts or demons) There may at times be some of these elements in suspense thrillers or police dramas, which may be acceptable. We will review each book before deciding to accept or decline it;
Whose main theme is LGBT romance (it's okay if there are characters who are gay);
With covers that depict nudity;
That promote unethical issues.
We require a copy of your book before acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse books that do not fit our criteria.
